| New and Improved Services to our Members The Asset Protection Group is committed to providing our Membership with the most current information available so that you can make intelligent business decisions as quickly as possible. With this in mind, APG will begin to provide our Membership with the following new and improved services: BUSINESS LOCATOR – U.S.: The information in this database is compiled from hundreds of public record databases as well as marketing lists, websites, and numerous privately owned sources. Coverage is provided for the entire United States including the District of Columbia. With over 200 million records, this service includes records that typically contain business names, addresses, telephone numbers, contact persons, type of business, date-added-to file and a date last validated for more than 95% of the businesses in the United States. We are able to search by business name, state, address, name of a contact person, or telephone number. The date last validated is an indication of the date that the information in the record was verified as current from at least two independent sources. Unlike many other online business databases, this database contains at least 25 million current business records, updated quarterly, along with millions of historical records, allowing the APG to identify prior business activities linked to a person, address or telephone number. At a nominal cost to conduct a nationwide search, this search tool represents uncommon value. BANKRUPTCIES, JUDGEMENTS AND LIENS: This index is a trio of individual databases providing nationwide coverage of important court actions. Information from every bankruptcy court in the country is represented in this database. Judgments and tax liens are available for most states, although data in some regions is unavailable due to the lack of computerization in those courthouses. The liens represented are those of federal, state and county origin. FICTICIOUS BUSINESS NAMES: This service contains over 10 million records from government filing offices such as Secretaries of State, Assumed Name Filings, Boards of Equalization, and various licensing offices in addition to Yellow Page listings and newspapers. This database is updated each month. The APG has access to records dating back to 1989 and is comprehensive from 1994. This incredible national file has never before been available to investigators. Now, with our powerful search and retrieval technology, this massive database can be searched to find information not previously available. PHONE ASSIST: This database is a real-time, directory-assistance-quality residential and business phone database. We can search by individual name (first or last), business name, street address, city, state, zip code or phone number. Searches can be limited to residential listings, business/governmental listings or both. The APG can view all of the listings on a particular street, or just the street name, city and state. Search results by phone number and state, without an area code, will result in a list of all 7-digit phone numbers in that state that match. The results include: name, address, city, state, zip code and phone number. We can customize our search to a specified vicinity by entering a city name and the number of miles from that city to be searched, up to 100 miles. It is also possible to search the entire nation, or a particular state, by individual or business name. COMPREHENSIVE BUSINESS REPORTS: A Comprehensive Business Report contains more thorough and detailed information regarding your search interest. This report provides extensive results such as addresses, relatives, associates, real property and deed transfers, phone listings, neighbors, corporate affiliations, business liens/judgments, UCC filings, incarcerations, and much more. The Complete Report combines both asset and skip trace data into one inclusive report. SKIP TRACING SERVICES: The APG now possesses the most comprehensive skip-tracing database available. Offered on a pay-per-search or batching basis, this affordable service is economical for both the high-volume and low-volume user. Queries can be conducted by using name, address or social security number; or any combination of these identifiers. SOCIAL SECURITY DEATH REGISTRY: This database contains records indicating the name, date of birth, date of death, Social Security Number and zip code for the last residence of each subject file. Updated monthly, the index contains more than sixty-seven million death records compiled by the Social Security Administration (SSA), with the records reliably reported from 1969 forward. The Social Security Administration does not have a death record for all persons; therefore, the absence of a record for a particular person does not serve as proof that the person is alive. Many records, however, are validated by observation of a death certificate or verification by a family Member or someone acting on behalf of the family. The records comprising this file are selected from the SSA Master Beneficiary Record, the Supplemental Security Record, the Earnings Reference File and the Black Lung Record. UNITED STATES PROPERTY SEARCHES: This tool is actually two databases in one. This database covers over seventy percent (70%) of the residences in the United States. Information is compiled from individual county assessor records representing property tax rolls, and from deed transfer records maintained by county recorders. Any search conducted in this database will automatically query both the tax rolls and the deed updates simultaneously. The initial search provides a results list with records containing the following fields: person, address, city and state, zip code, phone and type of filing. When any record is selected from the list, whether the selected record is a tax roll document or a deed transfer, all the documents pertaining to that parcel will be displayed. Within the full record display, the assessor’s record will be listed first, with any subsequent deed transactions listed below. The records contain information including the owner’s name and mailing address, name of spouse, the property address, phone numbers, square footage, taxable amount, parcel numbers, zoning information, sale date and amount, legal description and more. Recorders’ transfers are updated monthly and the assessor’s file is updated annually. Since different counties record their information at varying times of the year, the age of the data will not be uniform.
