Description

Full compliance with the states' unclaimed property laws is mandatory with the penalties of non-compliance being significant. To be fully compliant, a company must not only correctly identify reportable property, but must file an unclaimed property report in accordance with each state's requirements.

This session will focus on the types of unclaimed property that could exist in accounts receivable, best practices regarding how to research and remediate credit balances and unapplied cash so they don't become susceptible to unclaimed property, the reporting process including reporting best practices and a review of state due diligence requirements, including due diligence tips and tools.
