General Services Administration
Start looking for those GSA Schedules on which to bid. GSA's funding has increased and has money to spend. According to the GSA website, most of the funding will be placed in the following areas:
- Federal building conversion to high-performance green spaces: $4.5 billion
- Federal building and courthouse renovations: $750 million
- Fuel-efficient vehicles: $300 million
- Land ports of entry renovation and construction: $300 million
The GSA is also part of the American Recovery Act, and its agenda includes extra funding for increased green construction, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, nationally managed and regionally executed programs, and promoting transparency in government projects. So keep watching out for those available GSA contracts. If you are not currently doing business with the GSA, visit www.gsa.gov to find out how you can be part of this great opportunity.
