Legislative Issues
Senator Craig's office will speak on part of House Bill 4297 that implements a 3% withholding tax on government invoices.

Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS)
Receive the most up-to-date information on rules mandating Electronic Invoices, Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and mandatory EFT. Learn more about DFAS customer service, how to submit a proper invoice for an on-time payment, contact information when you do have problems, and an overview of the myInvoice payment inquiry system.

Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)
DFAS will enforce the requirement to use electronic invoicing, or invoices will be returned unpaid! From this full day of training, you will learn how to create invoices, receive reports, and access contract documents online. Hear about the latest enhancements of the most recently implemented version. WAWF will meet the electronic invoicing requirement, and it is free to use. Even if you company already uses WAWF, this conference will update you with the latest enhancement and version. Laptop with Ethernet cable is required.

Government Solutions
Bill Blumberg will explain everything you need to know about understanding your government receivables. Details of the Prompt Payment Act, key contract clauses, Fast Pay, CCR and late payment interest will be covered; as will returned unpaid invoices.

General Services Administration
An overview of government procurement methods, including the GSA Schedule, initiatives, electronic commerce, negotiated contracts, purchase cards, blanket purchase, and points of contacts. Experts from Kansas City and FT Worth Finance Centers will be available to answer your questions.

CEUs

The Education Department of the National Association of Credit Management has reviewed the educational content of this intermediate level program. Participants attending this program will earn 1.8 continuing education units (CEUs), all of which are valid for CCE recertification or 22 continuing professional education (CPE) units in the specialized knowledge and applications field of study. No prerequisites or advanced preparation are required. The NACM Control Number is14327.

The continuing education units have been awarded in accordance with the standards recommended by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. The CEU is a nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual’s continuing education accomplishments. One continuing education unit (CEU) is awarded for each 10 contact hours of instruction.

NACM is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
