Maryland Public Time Frames

  • Serve notice of a claim on the prime contractor within 90 days of last performance or supply.

 

  • After 90 days, but within 1 year, of final acceptance of the general contract.

Bond Bits

  • Contracts less than $100,000 are excluded from bond requirements on state projects. Discretionary for the county, city or other subdivision of the state if between $25,000 and $100,000.
  • Amount of bond: 50% of contract price.
