Information Resources

NACM-Canada’s website (www.nacmcanada.com) and NACM’s website (www.nacm.org) are packed with information for the business credit community.  The entire range of NACM services are represented on the website: from the Asset Protection Group to the Government Business Group, NACM-Canada, FCIB (Finance, Credit and International Business), and CFDD (NACM’s Credit and Financial Development Division), the NACM websites are your virtual gateway to a host of information, products and services.  Many members frequent “Useful Sites”, providing links to a warehouse of information and resources and saving hours of search time.  Whether it’s information about bankruptcy, copies of official bankruptcy forms or sample credit applications, you’ll find it in the NACM Useful Sites section. The NACM E-News Update is issued weekly and contains articles of interest to the credit and financial community, as well as a listing of current and upcoming events.  You will receive NACM’s E-News Update as a benefit of membership.

NACM-Canada’s Annual Credit Conference and Expo

Held each October in a major Canadian city, this annual gathering of credit professionals from Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere focuses on sharing relevant information and providing cutting edge education in the credit management field that will assist attendees with their professional responsibilities. In conjunction with the Conference, we also hold a Luncheon Expo at which vendors exhibit the latest products and services available in fields such as credit insurance, commercial collections, risk management and receivables management. NACM-Mechanics Lien & Bond Services (MLBS)

NACM’s Mechanic’s Lien & Bond Service brings best-in-class services options to today’s construction credit professional. The competitive nature of today’s world requires that you manage all aspects of your business. This includes managing notice, lien, bond claim, foreclosure and suit against bond time frames. How you track these deadlines will determine if you’re maximizing the utilization of your resources. Professional Designation Programs

The National Education Department has defined and advanced the profession by setting standards used by credit professionals in the field of business credit and finance through its Professional Designation Program.

  • Credit Business Associatesm (CBA)
  • Credit Business Fellowsm (CBF)
  • Certified Credit Executive® (CCE)
  • Certified International Credit Professionalsm (CICP)

Holders of the Canadian credit designation, the Fellow Credit Institute (FCI) now called the CCP, are also encouraged to take the CCE Designation Exam. FCI/CCP holders should register with the NACM-National Education Department and complete the exam application form. The Roadmap points and work experience requirements are waived. Candidates should submit a copy of their FCI/CCP certificate with the exam application form. Go to the NACM website for more information.

Industry Credit Groups

FCIB and NACM-Canada operate a number of industry credit groups. Group members discuss past experiences of individual mutual accounts as well as examine general problems specific to the industry.
