APG Awards

Each year, APG presents its prestigious Investigator of the Year Award and the Public Service Award at NACM’s annual Credit Congress.

Award Descriptions

Investigator of the Year

To be considered for the Investigator of the Year award, the nominee must be a member in good standing of APG both during the investigation and at the time of the award. The nominated investigation must have occurred during the year of the award.

The factors considered in evaluating nominees include:

  • Impact made to the nominee’s company
  • Positive effect the investigation had on the credit industry
  • Positive effect the investigation had on the outside community
  • Uniqueness and exceptional qualities of the investigation

While it is important to share information about the background and outstanding personal attributes of the investigator to the committee, the award is based solely on the investigation as presented by the contributor. Nominations and documentation must be submitted to the APG Awards Committee within specified time frames each year. The recipient will receive the prestige that the award brings, as well as a waiver of the conference fee, and will be featured in NACM’s Business Credit magazine.

Public Service Award

APG’s Public Service Award acknowledges law enforcement, prosecutors, public agencies and similar agencies as determined. To be eligible, an investigation must have occurred during the year of the award. The investigator must be a member in good standing of their department during the investigation time period. Considerations for award include:

  • Impact made to the nominee’s department
  • Positive effect the investigation had on the credit industry
  • Positive effect the investigation had on the outside community
  • Uniqueness and exceptional qualities of the investigation

While it is important to share information about the background and outstanding personal attributes of the investigator to the committee, the award is based solely on the investigation as presented by the contributor.
