Award Presented by the National Association of Credit Management
July 19, 2012: Columbia, MD— The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) has recognized Karol, Saito, CBA of Spokane as the recipient of the 2012 CBA Designation of Excellence Award. Saito was honored at NACM's 116th Annual Credit Congress and Exposition, held in Grapevine, TX, June 10-13, 2012.
The Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation is NACM's initial professional certification. Individuals earn the CBA by successfully completing three business credit topics (basic financial accounting, business credit principles and introductory financial statement analysis) and then passing a related examination. NACM's Designation of Excellence Awards honor designation holders who strive for excellence in all aspects of their professional development. Among the many laudable traits this year's outstanding CBA designee possesses, Saito's commitment to the profession shines. "Our credit community is a better place with Karol involved in it," said Jennifer Walsh, CBA, president of NACM Inland Northwest (NACM INW). "Education is always on the forefront of her mind."
Saito is currently the credit manager at Rolled Steel Products, Inc. (RSP). Serving the Northwest, RSP operates out of Spokane and manufactures steel roofing, siding, trims and flashing for the residential, light commercial and agricultural building industries, and is also a retailer of a wide variety of related accessories. As part of her credit function, Saito regularly pulls reports to perform due diligence on potential and existing customers and is also involved company collections. And because of her commitment to education, RSP understands the importance of credit and has implemented a credit policy.
As a member of NACM INW, Saito belongs to several industry credit groups, and has served as chairman of her affiliate's subcontractors and suppliers group. She has also served on several affiliate committees, some as chairman. She currently serves on the NACM INW Board of Directors.
Saito earned her CBA designation and has gone on to share her knowledge by serving as the instructor or speaker for several seminars. Her affiliate describes her as the go-to person for mentoring on issues like lien rights and security agreements. Eager to make a positive difference, regularly Saito shares her experiences and expertise through articles submitted to the NACM INW newsletter. Her active participation also earned her the affiliate's 2012 CBA Designate of the Year Award.
The National Association of Credit Management warmly congratulates Karol Saito, CBA on her receipt of the 2012 CBA Designation of Excellence Award.
